Altar Guild

“O Lord, I love the habitation of your house and the place where your glory dwells.”   Psalm 26:8

Altar guild is a group of dedicated volunteers in our parish who prepare the sanctuary and altar for services and for the celebration of Holy Communion.  They do so with joy, and with servants’ hearts.

Their duties include:

• Setting up the altar for each service

• Providing the vessels and elements (wafers and wine) for the priest to consecrate the eucharist

• Storing linens, paraments, and vessels after each service

• Observing liturgical seasons
