• Ryan Scarberry - Director of Music

    Ryan Scarberry grew up in the Tidewater area and is glad to call Williamsburg home. He has an undergraduate degree in Religion as well as an M.A. in Christian Leadership. Before joining Incarnation Church, Ryan served Anglican churches in South Carolina and Northern Virginia as a Music Director. Ryan is also the high school music teacher at Williamsburg Christian Academy. He is married to Holly and they have a daughter named Lydia. They do their best to keep their dog Murphy out of trouble.   • Danielle Barger - Director of Children's Ministry

    Danielle Barger serves as Director of Children's Ministry. She grew up in New Jersey but has called Virginia her home since 2004. She earned a BA from Cedarville University and a MS.Ed. from Old Dominion University. Before coming to Incarnation, she worked as an elementary school teacher and reading specialist. Danielle and her husband, Adam, have two daughters, Charlotte and Violet. Danielle came to the Anglican tradition in 2020, and she enjoys the liturgical approach to worship and learning from Scripture. Danielle loves spending time outdoors running, biking, and hiking.   • Maria Caro–Rainford • Parish Administrator & CARE Minister

    Maria is a retired Human Resources professional who spent much of her career starting up the HR function for small to mid-sized companies. She spent the last nine years of her career establishing and running the Human Resources function for a multi-city Christian Youth Ministry based in Connecticut. While there, she also served as their Full-Charge bookkeeper. Maria is a native New Yorker and moved to Williamsburg with her spouse, Bill Rainford, in 2016. She has been involved in her churches in one capacity or another since serving as the Director of her youth group while in High School. “As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15.   • Mary Swann - Vocational Deacon

    The Rev Mary Swann is a Vocational Deacon licensed in the Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic. She is currently “retired” from having an active assignment to a parish but is authorized to serve in diaconal ministry.

    Mary was ordained in 2006 in California (Diocese of San Joaquin). Her spiritual life has taken many turns, eventually leading her back to her Christian worldview. She is a Virginia native who grew up in Petersburg and Norfolk. She returned to her roots in VA in 2009, where she lived on the Rappahannock River and served at Light of Christ Anglican Church in Heathsville. She relocated to Williamsburg in November 2022 and began attending Incarnation.

    Mary loves working with small groups of individuals who seek a stronger and more meaningful relationship with Jesus. Most of her ministry within the church has centered around women’s ministry and care of the elderly. She returns to the Northern Neck twice a month to lead a women’s Bible study group that has met for 14 years.

  • Anne Miskovich - Licensed Lay Chaplain

    Anne Miskovich is an ecumenical Chaplain actively serving at Riverside Doctors Hospital in Williamsburg. She also serves in prison and nursing home settings.

    Anne is involved in outreach and serves as a lay Eucharistic and prayer minister at Incarnation Anglican Church. Anne also works alongside her husband, Andrew, as a part-time property manager for their holdings. She previously owned several businesses, including a jewelry store, and was a certified gemologist for several decades.

    Anne and her husband met and married in Williamsburg. They have lived here for the past ten years, along with Sheeba, their Weimaraner dog, who runs their home!

Vestry

The Vestry are the elected lay leaders of Incarnation Anglican Church. Each member serves a three-year term. The Vestry is led by our Senior Warden, Dr. David Hurt. Additional members include Billy Muran, Bill Eastman, Karissa Pociluyko, and Andrew Miskovich. The Vestry is also assisted by the church treasurer, Drew Patterson. Contact the Vestry.

Bishop Chris Warner

Bishop Chris Warner was elected to be the second Bishop of the Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic of the Anglican Church in North America on October 15, 2022. He was invested by Archbishop Foley Beach on February 18, 2023.

The Rev. Chris Warner was the rector of the Church of the Holy Cross, Sullivan’s Island, and Daniel Island from 2015-2022 and served as Associate Rector from 2002 to 2007 and from 2011 to 2015. He successfully led Holy Cross in a transition from a “seeker” model church to a relational and discipleship model church. Between his two terms of service at Holy Cross, he also served as rector and director of St. Christopher Camp and Conference Center. With a staff of 60, he transformed the camp to become a ministry of rest, restoration, and renewal.

He and his wife, Catherine, have been married since 1993. They have three children.
